October Goal

Hey guys! Thought I’d do this for this month though I usually don’t. I just seem to keep piling up my to-read pile. There’s a stack on my bookshelf and quite a few on hold at the library. Hopefully this post will make me more motivated to get it all read and reviewed ;)

This is what I’m currently reading:
Royal Blood by Ellen Schreiber
Settling by Shelley Workinger
Royal Blood is a re-read, while Settling is from the author in exchange for an honest review. It’s really good so far!

These are on my shelf right now:
Love Bites by Ellen Schreiber
Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
Intertwined by Gena Showalter
Divergent by Veronica Roth
Ascend by Amanda Hocking
Ascend is actually probably going back to the library soon. I still haven’t read Torn, because *ahem* someone is overdue turning it into the library. If you are reading this, you know who you are, then return it, k? The other ones… I’m glad they’re from my school’s library because I can renew them indefinitely.

These books are on hold:
Torn by Amanda Hocking
Tempest by Julie Cross
Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
Daughter of Light by V.C. Andrews
Maximum Ride by James Patterson
Glass Houses by Rachel Caine
The Dead Girls’ Dance by Rachel Caine
Cryptic Cravings by Ellen Schreiber
Most of these are actually what the library ordered for me. Yay for purchase suggestions. But I really don’t know when they’ll arrive. Usually it takes about a week to two weeks. Daughter of Light doesn’t come out until the end of October, though. Cryptic Cravings I’ve actually been begging the library to order for a while. They still haven’t. Finally I saw that a school in my district has it and is willing to let me borrow it. That should arrive at my school sometime this week. The others? Well, it all depends on when the previous borrower returns the book.

This is specifically for review:
Sheltered by Debra Chapoton
It sounds super good. I’m looking forward to reading this one.

Birthday presents?:
Hidden by P.C. and Kristin Cast
Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick
Sooo, my birthday is October 27. I’m hoping my parents will get Hidden for me….a few weeks *before* my birthday on the release date. And Finale? I mean, I love that series but it can wait.

Well, that brings the total up to…19 books. I’ve averaged about 8-9 books a month this year. Mainly that average is so low because of my total of 3 books in June. *eek* *hides in shame*. I think I can at least get 12 books done this month. Seeing as I just finished one yesterday, that leaves me with 11 more to go. The question is…which ones?

*As I finish these, I'll come back to mark them off.
