Review: Stargazer by Claudia Gray

The vampire in me was closer to the surface...

Evernight Academy: an exclusive boarding school for the most beautiful, dangerous students of all—vampires. Bianca, born to two vampires, has always been told her destiny is to become one of them.

But Bianca fell in love with Lucas—a vampire hunter sworn to destroy her kind. They were torn apart when his true identity was revealed, forcing him to flee the school.

Although they may be separated, Bianca and Lucas will not give each other up. She will risk anything for the chance to see him again, even if it means coming face-to-face with the vampire hunters of Black Cross—or deceiving the powerful vampires of Evernight. Bianca's secrets will force her to live a life of lies.

Yet Bianca isn't the only one keeping secrets. When Evernight is attacked by an evil force that seems to target her, she discovers the truth she thought she knew is only the beginning....

Positive:

Prologue- This applies to the first and third book in the series as well. I love how the prologues foreshadow an event later on in the book without giving away too much. It creates a hype and makes you want to read more.

Balthazar!- I just love him, okay? No, I don’t think he’s necessarily the right guy for Bianca. He’s just a good guy who’s been through a lot. Plus his name is just the coolest thing ever.

Wraiths- I finally know what wraiths are! I never really knew. I guess they are just ghosts. And now, after reading this, I’m so into ghosts. Anyone know a good book about ghosts??

Negative:

Charity- Ughhhhhhh why does she have to ruin everything??? She just likes to start trouble and is making things difficult for the main characters and I really just want her gone at this point. At first she was sweet and innocent and now I hate her with a passion.
